Independent review of project status is a necessary part of good governance. Governments and agencies want to understand how projects are going - are they ready to launch or what has gone wrong. Third parties interested in acquisitions want to understand the underlying quality of the asset and associated cost base. Developing a clear picture of the risk profile is critical in being able to make strategic decisions about projects and assets.
